Chelmsford Rugby Football Club

The U11s are a team for girls' and boys who are in Year 5 at school. We train and play our home fixtures on Sunday mornings from 10:30am to 12:00pm.

PLEASE NOTE – CAR PARKING FOR THIS SESSION IS ALONG NEW DUKES WAY (CM2 6AD) UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

The car park at Coronation Park is closed from 09:30-10:30 to alleviate car parking issues and increase safety of the kids leaving the park at this time.

All Chelmsford RFC sessions are led by DBS checked volunteer, mostly made up mostly from parents from the group who have trained as coaches.

New Volunteers are always welcomed and it will be one of the most rewarding decisions you ever make! The club provides support and training for all our volunteers and typically the more parents that get involved, the better the experience is for the kids (and for you as parents).

The focus of U11 rugby is very much on having fun, playing fixtures and but each year the game starts to resemble the adult format. This season sees the introduction of tactical kicking and restarts and the start of the contest in the scrums. Training is focused on developing our kids rugby skills with a key focus on ensuring the kids stay safe in the contact areas of the game.

Parents are expected to stay of the duration of all training sessions and matches.

All new players have the opportunity of up to 3 trial sessions before deciding to join the club. Parents are asked to join our Spond Group prior their first session (this is so we have contact details etc in case of emergencies)

When you are ready to join the club, you sent details on how to register with the RFU and purchase your family membership.
