After a few weeks of cancelled fixtures due to the pressures of the Easter Holidays it was great to see u14s rugby return to Coronation Park for one last time this season.

With nearly forty Chelmsford u14s on tour next weekend, playing the last regular game of the u14 season fell to the non-tourers in the squad. Braintree just edged Chelmsford in our last meeting, winning a tight game 12-10. But this was a stronger Chelmsford team and it showed on the pitch with Chelmsford running out comfortable 45-0 winners on this occasion. Despite the scoreline, Braintree played with great spirit and kept fighting until the final whistle.

Next weekend, the u14 boys on tour head into Norfolk where two Chelmsford teams will compete in the Great Yarmouth Rugby Festival hoping to follow in the footsteps of last years u14s in bringing home the trophy.
