It is with deep sadness that I have to inform the Club of the passing of our former Chairman Richard Payne, whom lost his battle with cancer last Monday.
Richard joined CRFC in 2000/01 when his son Henry started playing rugby.
Richard served as Chairman from 2016-2018 and previously sat on the Committee as Vice Chairman and Chairman of Youth, he has also been the International Ticket secretary for a number of years.
His tireless work with our Club sponsors, Woodland Group is the reason we have such a good relationship with them as well as last season getting his company, Tees Law to sponsor the Club.
Richard will be greatly missed at the Club particularly at VP lunches. He is survived by wife Debbie, daughters Isabelle & Elizabeth and son Henry whom plays for the the 1st XV.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Debbie, Richards family and friends at this time.
There will be a minutes applause prior to all home games, to mark/celebrate Richards life.
