Our volunteer of the month for September is u15s team admin, first aider and deputy Club Safeguarding Officer, Shelley Allison.
Shelley has been a rock to all in the current U15s since many of the boys were 5 years old. From morning registers to first aid; Baby wipes, snotty tissues to dog bags; Membership forms to tour forms to safeguarding forms to GMS tech support to DBS mornings and evenings... the list goes on and on.
Despite holding down a full-time high-pressured career and dealing with the challenges of family life, Shelley is always on hand to provide assistance, advice and help when called upon.
Whatever the job, Shelley always goes the extra mile and without her commitment, the running of the u15s squad, and the management of the administration associated with it, would not be as good as it is.
In addition to her role with the u15s, Shelley is also the club’s deputy CSO and has tirelessly processed almost 100+ DBS forms over the past 12 months. This is one of those volunteer jobs that makes such positive difference to our club and helps keep children safe.
With her tireless efforts also comes a great sense of humour, and always a willing ear to lend in the clubhouse after matches and training.
Many thanks to Shelley on behalf of all the at the club, but especially the U15 boys, coaches and parents for your continued efforts and support, and making club rugby a safer, more fun and less chaotic experience.
