Having lost the 2023/24 Essex Cup Final against Eton Manor on the "First Try Scored" rule last year, the Chelmsford U16s were overjoyed to be bringing home the silverware this time after another close game against Manor in the final of the Golden Boot.
The Blueboys beat Eton Manor 2s, Westcombe Park (Kent), Upminster in the group rounds before beating Thurrock to reach the final at Brentwood RFC. The final was a close affair with just the one try scored in the final game of a long day of rugby.
A massive thank you to Brentwood RFC for organising a great day of u16s rugby and well done to all the Chelmsford boys who played today.
