All Players (not just juniors as in previous years) must now register to play rugby at the start of each new season.

From the 2024/25 season, all players, in all formats of the game (including non-contact), will be required to register themselves annually to play rugby within RFU member clubs. You will not be able to play any fixtures until this process is completed.

Up to this season, Player registration has been a club-led process, whereby clubs register senior players on their behalf. From this season onwards, the RFU is moving from this to a registration process where players will register themselves to play with a club, using their Game Management System (GMS) account. Clubs will then accept/decline player registrations as they come through. This is an annual process.

The move to game-wide registration is intended to benefit the whole rugby community and brings rugby union in line with the majority of other Unions and other sports where this is common practice.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO!

Players with an existing GMS account can register to play, click here for our guide on how to register to play. The whole process only takes a few minutes and the club is here to help if you get stuck.

Player without an existing GMS account will need to create an account before registering to play, click here for our guide on how to create an account.

If you are unsure about what you have or don't have, please message the Membership Secretary for help.

The club is also planning to run a number of Registration evenings during preseason to help those struggling to register. Please check Spond for details of when and where these sessions will be held.
